release on Ghetto Dub, the Detonate E.P. Not wanting to be pigeon holed into any particular area within the plethora of sub-genres that makes up Drum & Bass, Jay has come with a 6 track EP that is bursting with different flavours and styles.

Kicking off with the title track: Detonate, which has been getting some serious rotation and was made straight for the dancefloor, Hard hitting basslines and hard hitting breaks. Next up is Kinetik - A jungle inspired tear out tune, choppy snappy amens blended with quick switching basslines. Metal Clasp - Another dancefloor inspired tune, simple bass and breaks made to do one thing and one thing only. Rat Bastard - A tune ode to the mid 2000’s sound of DnB, which is what drew him into the music in the first place. A seriously heavy reese basslines layered over a pounding beat. Situation Untold is Jay’s take on old school with its choppy amen breaks. And then finishing the EP off nicely with a track entitled Tidal wave - A nice little roller, something a bit deeper with more of a head nodding stepper vibe.
